Cameroon Report

Lesson 42 of 49 November 10, 2025

During the class, Jim Corner provided a detailed report on his decades‑long missionary work in Cameroon with World Bible School. He traced his path from a full‑time minister in Ferris, Texas, through a pivotal trip to Ghana that ignited his passion for African ministry, to his first exploratory and subsequent annual trips to Cameroon beginning in 1997. Jim described how World Bible School evolved from a modest 1973 effort into a vast network that now supports dozens of churches across the United States and several African service centers, noting the recent launch of the Ocean Bridge program to improve postal communications in developing regions. Jim also shared personal anecdotes about the challenges and blessings of frequent travel, his reliance on prayer and gratitude, and the vital role of local partners like Jake Coppinger and Richard Sutton in planting seeds of faith. He emphasized the ongoing need for financial and prayer support, encouraging the congregation at Linder Road Church of Christ to engage with the mission’s vision of equipping believers and strengthening the global Body of Christ.
