He saved the best for last

Lesson 9 of 16 May 15, 2019

In the class titled “He Saved the Best for Last,” the teacher opened with a vibrant reading of Psalm 148, urging every part of creation—from the heavens and waters to the animals and rulers of the earth—to lift their voices in praise of God. After welcoming newcomers and acknowledging the special day of Mother’s Day, the lesson transitioned into a detailed walk through the six days of creation as described in Genesis 1. The teacher described each day’s work, emphasizing the beauty and order of the universe, and highlighted that the most extraordinary creation—humanity—was fashioned on the sixth day. The focus then shifted to the creation of man and woman, centering on Genesis 1:26‑27 and Genesis 2:18. The teacher explained that God created humanity in His image, gave them dominion, and recognized that it was not good for man to be alone, prompting the creation of a suitable helper. Throughout, the message reinforced that God’s perfect plan included saving the best for last, inviting the congregation to respond with continuous worship and gratitude for the Creator’s intentional design.

Psalm 148:1-6

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights. Praise him all his angels, praise him all his hosts. Praise him sun and moon, praise him all you shining stars. Praise him you heavens and you waters above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the Lord for he commanded and they were created and he established them forever and ever. He gave a decree and it shall not pass away.

Genesis 1:26-27

And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.' So God created man in his own image. In the image of God he created him; male and female created they him.
