Makes me stronger- Clint Davison

Lesson 2 of 11 October 10, 2022

The class began by reviewing last week’s focus on Barnabas, highlighting his role as a peacemaker who was full of the Holy Spirit, courageous, humble, and eager to serve. The teacher emphasized that biblical guidance on conflict centers on character rather than a step‑by‑step method. The session then shifted to practical traits needed for those who wish to help others navigate conflict: a genuine desire to serve, a lifestyle of prayer (citing Philippians 4:6‑7), a love for God’s Word (Ephesians 6:15), vulnerability modeled by Jesus in Psalm 22, and reliance on godly wisdom (1 Corinthians 6:5; James 1:5). Throughout the lesson, the instructor explained that conflict is not inherently negative; rather, it provides opportunities to glorify God, serve others, and become more Christ‑like. By embodying these traits, believers can intervene wisely, remain prayerful, and guide others toward biblical resolution, all while preparing for the upcoming series on David’s life and his experiences with conflict.
