In this Bible study class, teacher Clint Davison explored the theme "Made for More" by examining Ephesians chapter 1 and God's design for abundant Christian living. He began by contrasting cultural messages that teach us to be satisfied with less against God's call for us to experience the fullness He offers. Using the image of creation—from the billions of stars visible from dark skies to Earth's beauty and creatures—Davison illustrated how God demonstrates His love through physical abundance and, more importantly, through spiritual blessings. The teacher emphasized that God has blessed Christians with every spiritual blessing in the heavens through Christ (Ephesians 1:3). While the physical world displays God's care, His spiritual provisions are even more extraordinary. Davison stressed that only Jesus can completely fill us; our plans, jobs, families, and personal righteousness cannot satisfy our deepest needs. He presented four key ways God makes us "more," beginning with the reality that we are chosen by God—not because of our self-determination or cultural validation, but because God selected the church before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4) to carry out His mission in the world. Throughout the lesson, Davison challenged the congregation to move beyond viewing Christianity as a restrictive set of prohibitions plus church attendance. Instead, he called believers to recognize and embrace the abundant life Jesus offers, understanding that being chosen by God provides validation and purpose that transcends worldly success. The class invited attendees to examine their lives for missed blessings and to align themselves with God's vision of fullness in Christ.
