Children's Bible Class - 1-17-2021

Lesson 27 of 28 January 17, 2021

In this children's lesson, the teacher introduced Aquila and Priscilla as the biblical "dynamic duo" who partnered with the Apostle Paul during his ministry in Corinth. The class reviewed Acts 18, noting how Paul, a tentmaker, lived and worked with the couple, shared the gospel each Sabbath, and faced opposition from some Jews who accused him before the governor. A pivotal moment was the vision in Acts 18:9‑10 where the Lord encouraged Paul not to be silent, leading him to stay in Corinth for a year and a half. Afterward Paul traveled to Ephesus, took a vow (Acts 18:18), and later set sail with Aquila and Priscilla. The second focus was on Apollos, a learned preacher from Alexandria (Acts 18:24‑26). When Aquila and Priscilla heard him teaching, they invited him into their home and gently corrected his understanding of baptism, showing the importance of kindly correcting a fellow believer. The teacher highlighted two main applications: offering hospitality and support to fellow workers, and providing loving, private correction when a friend’s teaching is incomplete. The lesson concluded with a challenge for the children to model these Christ‑like attitudes in their own friendships.
