Lesson Summary
Marcus McKee, a specialist in congregational evangelism with World Bible School, presented an inspiring overview of global Bible study outreach. He highlighted World Bible School's 50-year history since its founding in 1973, sharing that over 40 million people have engaged with Bible study materials through the organization's programs. McKee detailed four distinct delivery methods: the postal program (368,000 participants this year), the online program (197,907 participants), Ocean Bridge (57,000 new students), and Methodist (a mobile-based platform for relational study). He emphasized that these tools democratize Bible study, enabling participation regardless of location, internet connectivity, or physical limitations. McKee shared powerful testimonies demonstrating God's grace in action: Barbara from Colorado Springs, who studies despite being unable to use her hands, and Jen, a former Jehovah's Witness converted through studying with Barbara and connected to her local congregation in Pueblo. The presentation demonstrated how ordinary church members can become effective evangelists using these accessible platforms. McKee stressed that congregational participation is essential—noting that Linder Road alone has completed nearly 10,000 lessons with students. The message centered on grace extending to all humanity through strategic, practical means that honor individual circumstances and global realities.
